The next PPHS meeting is Nov. 20th at 4:00PM in room E106B. This will be an interview workshop as well as we will be auctioning off KAPLAN packages. These packages can be used for ANY Kaplan product (i.e. MCAT, DAT, GRE, PCAT, etc). We will have a silent auction sheet in the Office of Pre-Professional Health starting next week so people can participate in the silent auction.

I received this from one of our APSU students,

"I would like to pass on this information about a great volunteer opportunity for students that are pursuing careers in healthcare. This is especially beneficial for premed students as well. Marie Vega, who is my aunt, is the volunteer coordinator for Caris Healthcare. Caris Healthcare is a hospice which is located at Springfield, TN. She is trying to recruit volunteers, so I would love to help her out by recruiting college students. The website posted below has more information. I hope this is helpful!"

The current application for the Gateway Pre-med Volunteer Program can be found at a link at http://apbrwww5.apsu.edu/robertsonr/pre ... sement.htm. This is an excellent way to get those needed clinical experience hours. For the spring semester the application deadline is Dec. 30.
